This version has important new features like dynamic folder loading, that will improve loading times for repositories with big folder structures, or the new root folder. Have a look on what is new:

On Tuesday 15 December at 21:00 CET the new version of R2 Docuo will roll into production. These are the version changes:

Root folder

The folder tree has now a root folder, named as the repository id. Now it is possible to upload documents to this folder and not just create subfolders as in older versions. The root folder is marked with a cloud icon:

New root folder

The root folder already existed in the folder administrator, so folder permissions are already configured and will be applied in all existing repositories.

Folder structure dynamic loading

In previous versions of R2 Docuo, when a repository had a large number of folders (over 5,000) long loading times were experienced when accessing the repository through the desktop app or web portal. From this version, the folder structure is dynamically loaded in both the desktop application and the web portal so that loading time is now under half a sec (even for structures over 100,000 folders).

Keep me logged in

In the desktop application for Windows, the “remember password” option has been replaced for the “keep me logged in” option. If this option is checked, you will access the repository directly without going through the login screen:

Keep me logged in

Adminstrators can disable this option for a repository either marking an user or collaborator profile with the new check “Log out on exit” or disabling it for the whole repository in R2 Docuo options.

Improvements in the web portal document detail view

The web portal document detail view, that in older versions was located under the document in the result list, now has its own full window. You can access document details through a click in the blue arrow as shown in the image:

In this window you can see all document details with the main available actions in the upper button bar:

Detalles en portal web

Renaming files and folders from the web portal

The document list in the web portal has now more available actions to be performed in documents or folders. One of the most important is the renaming action. Now you can rename files and folders without accessing the document detail window.

Autodetect proxy configuration

Now the Windows desktop app can be configured to use the same proxy configuration than the default Windows Internet browser. This way, proxy data and credentials must not be entered twice like in older versions:
