They are an opportunity for new and existing clients to meet current suppliers, competitors, and people they have spoken to by phone and importantly to gain insight and information.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1953\" src=\"https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/49084982298_531ea9a465_c-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/49084982298_531ea9a465_c-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/49084982298_531ea9a465_c-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/49084982298_531ea9a465_c.jpg 799w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>AIIM Forum Europe was created to give organisations in the digital process management market a chance to share best practice and allow potential and existing clients to gain knowledge that would help progress their business forward.<\/p>\n<p>This can be achieved in many ways from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discussions with current service provider<\/li>\n<li>Discussions with potential new providers<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrations<\/li>\n<li>Networking with other businesses who share the same challenges<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Round table&#8221; discussions with a dedicated expert to help solve common or specific challenges<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Fireside&#8221; chats with specific organisations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Peggi Winton started the event with an excellent keynote about the Digital Transformation Journey we all are in. Several speakers hosted roundtables and presentations with the attending delegates in a really interesting agenda.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-did-we-bring\" class=\"anchor\">What did we bring?<\/h2>\n<p>At this years event, I lead a round table discussion in productivity. Below you will find a layout of what was discussed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1952\" src=\"https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/49085487366_3914f52724_c-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/49085487366_3914f52724_c-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/49085487366_3914f52724_c-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/49085487366_3914f52724_c.jpg 799w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The discussion was titled &#8220;<em>From Pain to Process: Moving from Process Agony to Productivity (BPM)<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Being in process agony: Top three symptoms <\/strong>(<em>Repetitive manual tasks, too much side workflows, lack of normalisation<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>What you should expect from a workflow\/bpm solution<\/strong> (<em>Guide \/ Measure \/ Support<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Who should the software help: CEO or team?<\/strong> (<em>Business layer vs Execution layer<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Which office tasks can be automatic in 2020?<\/strong> (<em>Document &amp; Email automation, Machine Learning predictions &amp; decision making, Blockchain timestamping<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>How often a workflow changes in your company?<\/strong> (<em>Look for \u201cchange friendly\u201d software, the more changes the more improvement<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>You will never hit the bullseye at the first attempt when modelling a workflow<\/strong> (<em>No one will, trial-error is part of learning: Agile Workflow Management<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each point was discussed to give people a better understanding of what business process management is and are they getting the most from it.<\/p>\n<p>I wanted the people who joined the discussion to understand the true nature of bottleneck scenarios (so called process agony). This could be spending large amounts of time on mundane repetitive tasks. The constant use of side workflows or processes. Finding out how many people were in a similar position, for example, so many people found themselves manually performing repetitive tasks and how many of those tasks could be automatic in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, I wanted to help them when thinking about the purchase of new software to help solve these challenges. To do this I needed them to recognise what was more important to them, a software that can guide them? help them measure activity or importantly grant them support and automation.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, we shared what tasks could ultimately be automated to help regain time and resources, no matter how often their business process changed. Making them aware that you can have control over the software to make changes when you need it and not wait for an IT department or third party to intervene.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1954\" src=\"https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/photo_2019-11-26_17-08-23-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/photo_2019-11-26_17-08-23-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/photo_2019-11-26_17-08-23-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/photo_2019-11-26_17-08-23-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/photo_2019-11-26_17-08-23.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We also brought short demonstrations of our cloud based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.r2docuo.com\/en\/\">Document Management &amp; Workflow software<\/a> in action to grasp the simplicity of it, showing that software should not be complicated to learn to achieve great results. We believe that it should be possible to change the process in your software as fast as the decision you took to make those changes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"final-thoughts\" class=\"anchor\">Final thoughts<\/h2>\n<p>We truly enjoyed being at this years event and encourage people to go along.
