Jorge Ramírez, CEO of R2 Docuo: “It is the biggest transformation of the product since its launch”
Málaga, 10 June 2026
Jorge Ramírez, CEO of R2 Docuo, took to the Blue Innovation Theatre at the Digital Enterprise Show in Málaga today to present what he described as “the biggest transformation of R2 Docuo since its launch” : the R2 Docuo Apps, a new product layer that is ready to use from day one, with no prior consultancy needed.
The end of the barrier to entry
Since it came to market in 2012, R2 Docuo has offered companies of every size a platform to automate business processes alongside their documentation. Its strength has always been customisation: every implementation goes through a consultancy phase in which the team (or the user themselves, via low-code) adapts the platform to the client’s specific needs. An effective model, but one with an unavoidable cost and lead time.
The new R2 Docuo Apps break that barrier:
These are finished solutions, integrated with one another, available to use the same day they are purchased.
The launch catalogue includes three applications: Contracts (automatic classification and management), Invoices (issuing with Verifactu, collections and payments) and Quotes (creation, sending and follow-up). Any of them can be purchased from €12/month per user.
Jorge Ramírez stressed that the Apps are not just standalone products: they are also designed to work together. From a customer record, for example, you can look up their contracts, invoices and quotes, which will all be linked to one another.
Along those lines, R2 Docuo has launched the All Apps plan — simultaneous access to the entire current and future App catalogue from €50/month, with three users included. The catalogue will keep growing with the platform’s most common use cases.
The new “One App” and “All Apps” plans make it possible to use R2 Docuo at a very competitive price and with immediate implementation, for the most common use cases
The R2 Docuo Apps can also live perfectly well alongside the custom configurations the product offers, and even integrate with them.
AI native: not just another app
The differentiating element Jorge Ramírez emphasised most is that the R2 Docuo Apps are not conventional applications with artificial intelligence bolted on afterwards. They are conceived from the ground up to build AI into every stage of the process: automatic data extraction from receipts and incoming invoices, intelligent classification of contracts and assisted drafting of quotes. “This is not just another contracts, invoices and quotes application” , the CEO explained. “It is the new way of managing them now that AI has arrived” .

What about existing customers?
The second part of the keynote was devoted to existing R2 Docuo users. After recalling that the platform’s last price change was in 2020, he announced a complete overhaul of the product’s pricing plans.
Customers on the current Enterprise plan will be migrated directly to the new Custom plan.
The new “Custom” plan is equivalent in features and price to the old “Enterprise” plan, but now also includes every R2 Docuo App at no extra cost.
Although the Apps were presented individually for new repositories, they cannot yet be enabled on existing repositories; this will happen gradually after the summer and, in any case, during 2026.
For users on the Professional and Business plans, the news is different: both plans will be withdrawn on 1 January 2027. The R2 Docuo team will contact each customer to plan their orderly transition to the new single Custom plan.
The “Professional” and “Business” plans will have to migrate to the new “Custom” plan from January 2027.
The CEO’s justification was blunt: “Plans with cut-down capabilities answer to a market logic that AI has made obsolete. Software should offer all its features to all its users from the very first euro” .
The future: R2 Docuo for agents
The third part of the presentation looked to the immediate horizon. Jorge Ramírez announced that before the end of 2026, R2 Docuo will expose 100% of its functionality to external artificial intelligence agents through an MCP (Model Context Protocol) service, the emerging standard that lets agents such as Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot interact with external platforms as though they were their own tools.
What this means in practice: everything a user does inside R2 Docuo today — creating a contract, recording an invoice, generating a quote — an AI agent will be able to do for them autonomously.
This architectural shift will come with a new commercial model. Per-seat pricing — charging according to the number of users accessing the platform — stops making sense when the system is operated by an agent rather than a person. R2 Docuo’s plans will therefore incorporate a pay-per-credit model before the end of the year, with no need to assign user seats. It is a direction the sector’s biggest players are already taking: ServiceNow has confirmed that half of its new business now comes from non-seat-based models; Salesforce has built its entire Agentforce strategy on consumption pricing.
A platform for the next ten years
Jorge Ramírez closed the presentation with the same line that opens the R2 Docuo website: “Your company’s management. Powered by AI. In one place.” Backed by twenty-five years of experience in the software industry and with a product redesigned for the age of agents, R2 Docuo is aiming to compete in a new category of B2B software that is only just taking shape.
